Kinds of Hydraulic Cranes
Hydraulic cranes are among the most frequently utilized types of crane in the construction industry. They are utilized to construct everything from roadways and freeway overpasses to buildings and skyscrapers.
There is a huge variety of crane models, sizes and styles available on the market. There are many different kinds in order to serve a variety of different reasons within the industry. Choosing the best type of crane is essential for making sure that the material can be safely and efficiently transported to the place it has to get to in order for the construction process to begin.
Truck Cranes
Usually, truck cranes have 2 different cabs. One cab is for controlling the crane and the other is for driving the truck when the unit is in transport mode. These cranes are really helpful for building sites where a crane is needed in many different places for the duration of the build. This is because of the fact that the crane can be easily driven from one place to another.
Furthermore, the cranes are able to be transported to different construction locations on the road because they could drive themselves and this eliminates the need for extra transport vehicles. Being able to travel on their own greatly reduces transport expenses at the end of the day.
The truck crane however is not stable enough to handle all the major loads which a hydraulic crane can handle. Therefore, so as to fix this issue, outriggers can be extended from the deck. The outriggers use hydraulic pressure to be able to slightly lift the truck off of the ground, making it stable and balanced.
Crawler-Mounted Cranes
The crawler crane is unique in that it has large tracks on the base of the crane. These huge tracks are really similar to bulldozers and backhoes. The tracks allow the crane to move around a construction locations successfully.
