Motorized Pallet Truck
A Motorized Pallet Truck usually goes by other names including: Walkie-Rider, Rider or Walkie. These pieces of equipment are basically a motorized version of a pallet jack. They come in both "Walkie" models and "Rider" versions.

Just as the name implies, the walkie type is designed for the operator to walk along with the unit while they move cargo. The Rider model on the other hand, uses a small platform wherein the operator stands on. The rider models are ideal for frequent transporting of loads over extended distances in warehouses and manufacturing operations. They are extremely fast and maneuverable.

It is not recommended to pick up and transport tall or unstable loads because there are no safety cages on these models. A rider might be the best answer if you are looking for a cheap method for transporting cargo from one place to another. If though, you are required to move heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit rather than a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the right option.

Order Selector
The order selector or order picker is a piece machinery designed particularly for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This platform elevates both the operator and the load in order to facilitate manual unloading and loading from racking areas.

Normally, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle which can function in smaller aisles. They are very handy pieces of machine in physical inventories as well as during cycle counting situations. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models that range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more common.
