Tire Types
Cushion tires are normally considered solid tires with no tread pattern. These tires are designed for indoor smooth and solid surfaces. There are tread patterns available however, that are more suitable for various surface environments. The cushion tires are popular on smooth warehouse floors and in similar applications.

On the other hand, pneumatic tires require air and have been specifically made for outdoor use on uneven ground and loose surfaces. Pneumatic truck tires have higher ground clearance as well. This raises the forklift's center of gravity and really reduces its rated lift capacity. Most often, pneumatic tires are used in rough terrain environments because of their ability to negotiate uneven surfaces in a smoother fashion. Numerous construction sites and agricultural or mining applications rely on these tires to be able to make sure the equipment can travel as safe and carefully as possible.

Lift height and Lift Capacity
It is essential to know the maximum weight and dimensions of the loads you would be handling in order to determine the capacity of the vehicle needed. Also, you would need to know the maximum fork height needed so as to rack or stack the loads. These factors, the load size as well as the lifting height, really affect the truck's lifting capacity. A bigger size load could move the vehicle's center of gravity and change the load combination. This decreases the lifting capacity of the machine and affects the height and the load being lifted. Utilizing different types of attachments could also affect the overall capacity of the truck.

Mast Options
There are many different options of masts existing on the market. Like for instance, there are single, double, triple and quad, the numbers indicate how many sections or stages the mast has. In different circumstances, you would not be needed to make any choices because the lift height will dictate the kind of mast you would get, although, in trucks with very high lift heights, you may have an option.
